About the Show

What happens when two burned-out parents sell their house, pack up their kids, and try to “find themselves” in Portugal, Mexico, and beyond? Trips & Giggles is a brutally honest, sometimes hilarious, sometimes emotional podcast about what it’s really like to uproot your life and live abroad as a family.

Join Meghan (a psychologist with a side obsession for Facebook groups) and Damon (a creative homebody who didn't ask for this adventure, but shows up with humor and a lot of strong unsubstantiated opinions) as they navigate a six-month, multi-country experiment in worldschooling, remote work, and figuring life out on the road.

This isn’t a guide to worldschooling. It’s not a Pinterest-perfect travel diary. It’s two parents, one podcast mic, and zero chill trying to stay curious while raising kids in unfamiliar places with semi-working childcare and spotty Wi-Fi.

If you’ve ever thought about selling everything and traveling the world with your kids, or if you just like eavesdropping on two people being extremely anxious and real, this one’s for you.

Meet our Hosts

Meghan

Meghan

Clinical psychologist by training, adventurer by choice, Meghan is the voice of reason (and sometimes chaos) behind Trips and Giggles. Equal parts introspective and hilarious, she brings heart, humor, and a deep appreciation for the messy parts of life on the move. Come for the giggles, stay for the stories that make you feel less alone.

Damon

Damon

Damon is the husband, dad, and deadpan counterweight to the chaos of Trips and Giggles. Known for his quiet one-liners, strategic wine pours, and uncanny ability to find the nearest Lidl, Damon brings a dry wit and practical lens to life on the road. He’s the guy calculating travel points while calmly questioning all of Meghan’s ideas — out loud, on mic.
